What is a culture worth that requires everybody to fit to it, that has no jiggle room to allow for new and different ideas?

by far most projects fail (currently 84%) because they aren't run as scientific engineering projects — but because they are run as if the main goal was to entertain teenagers.

I find people you cant be bothered to align themselfy with an ego-free development unpleasant. you say, you need pleasant people to work with. that should make you realise that first: that is absolute unprofessional. and second you deny yourself a lot of experience if you can only be bothered to deal with people you already like — including making new and unexpected friends along the way.

Imagine the military. There you dont get to decide at all who you work with. Still some military groups are the most professional and most agile groups in the world.

and btw: In my experience this teenager behaviour is spreading. You might be an older introvert — just like me — but you might also been turned into a raging and vile teenager without even noticing.

Also I would assume that if working with pleasant people is what allows you to be productive that productivity in your teams isnt great to begin with.

if you want to read about efficient development, please go ahead read my articles here on medium or get in touch with me and I will send you a copy of my book when it comes out.
